Local support that helped build the Hub
Thank you to Batts Combe quarry and Arnold Webber for helping create the Hub’s car park.

The Hub has grown with help from people and organisations across our community. One practical contribution came from Heidelberg Materials’ Batts Combe quarry, which donated 20 tonnes of aggregate for the car park.
Local haulier Arnold Webber delivered the stone, helping the Trust meet construction deadlines ahead of the extension’s opening.
Batts Combe colleagues Michelle Beasley and Caroline Gould joined Arnold at the opening celebrations, where they met the Trust’s President, Dame Joanna Lumley.
We are grateful to the quarry team and Arnold for their support, and to everyone who has helped make the Hub a place for our community.
This story looks back at support for the Hub’s development. Explore the Dame June Whitfield Centre or plan your visit.
