A new chapter for our community
Celebrating the opening of the Dame June Whitfield Centre.
The Dame June Whitfield Centre officially opened on 21 April 2026, with Dame Joanna Lumley and Suzy Aitchison joining the celebrations.
The new space extends the Hub’s community work. It creates room for people to meet, learn and take part in activities, alongside the café that already brings neighbours together.
Thank you to everyone whose time, support and generosity helped make it possible.
Based on the Trust’s original announcement.
