Fund raiser for community minibus

The Weston Light Orchestra will be playing at St Gregory’s Church in Weare on Saturday 18th June starting at 7.30pm. This concert of light orchestral music and featuring the virtuoso pianist, Richard Lennox, is in aid of The Frankie Howerd OBE Trust to raise money for a minibus for the Community Hub in Loxton.

Tickets are just £10 (to include refreshments and finger snacks) and will hopefully be for sale at the Hub itself from 1st June. They will also be available at the Church on the evening of the concert – cash only please – or contact the Ticket Manager to buy tickets in advance on 07942 644932.

Can you spot the owl to which Frankie Howerd would speak his lines as he learnt them for “Up Pompeii!” and other shows?
