Weston Light Orchestra

Community Cafe, Community Hub, News & Events
The Weston Light Orchestra will be playing for us on Saturday 14th October at 7.30 pm at St Andrew's Church in Cheddar (BS27 3RF). The proceeds of this concert will go towards our purchase of a defibrillator for our Community Hub in Loxton. Community Cafe, Community Hub, News & Events
And here we are in London: the Trustees along with representatives of National Grid, and the National Lottery Community Fund (who gave us the grants) and M4 Van Centre, Swindon, who provided the minibus, and the “absolutely fabulous” Dame Joanna Lumley, our President and Patron Suzy Aitchison, the late Dame June Whitfield’s daughter. Our charity supports residents in the BS26 area, so if you wish us to take a group of you on a leisure or social outing, please contact us on 07881 630629 (Phil Davies) or email [email protected] Please let us have your ideas on how we can best make use of this wonderful facility for the community – thanks!

We’ve hit the jackpot!

Community Cafe, Community Hub, News & Events
Thanks to generous donations from National Grid and the National Lottery "Awards for All" scheme, we have just purchased a minibus which will be ready in the near future to ferry elderly and disabled residents (and those without transport) to and from the café, and to take them to various social, medical and recreational venues. This is great news and shows how much our project is supported. Thank you.
